There is the never-ending cycle of serving another person\u2019s needs, the constant on-demand pressures, and the exhaustion that seems to settle deep into your bones.<\/p>\n
I get it.<\/strong><\/p>\n [\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.16″ _module_preset=”default” text_font=”Montserrat||||||||” text_text_color=”#000000″ text_font_size=”16px” text_line_height=”1.8em” header_2_font=”Tenor Sans||||||||” header_2_text_color=”#023651″ header_2_font_size=”33px” header_3_font=”Tenor Sans||||||||” header_3_text_color=”#39C0C4″ header_3_font_size=”25px” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n At the age of 55, my husband was diagnosed with Early Onset\/Younger Alzheimer\u2019s and it threw our lives into disarray. As we struggled to adjust to the ever-increasing impact of the disease, our friends and contacts quickly faded into the background. Caregiving became completely consuming. I wrestled with loneliness, discouragement, and exhaustion as I struggled to navigate the complexities of everyday life. Feeling alone and without support, I assumed things would stay this way forever.<\/p>\n Maybe you feel hopeless or ashamed that you can\u2019t seem to figure out a way to balance it all and thrive in this season. I\u2019ve talked to so many caregivers who feel like they\u2019re barely hanging on. It\u2019s hard to ask for help, let alone articulate what would help. This makes it difficult for our churches, friends, and families to meet and embrace us. We feel abandoned by the very people we thought would most support us.
