I was the caregiver of my sister. While I handled the challenges that came with her Down Syndrome, diabetes, kidney failure, etc., it was the dementia that was most difficult. Her decline was rapid, and I found myself feeling alone, without hope.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Makers of Care\u2019s support groups and Susan\u2019s leadership reminded me that it was a privilege to care for my sister, not a burden.<\/strong> Instead of feeling like God had forgotten me, I felt closer to Him than ever before.
